What waste are you generating? Do you know what your waste impact is? To most of us the answer is no. In order to build towards a better solution, the root cause must be clearly identified. Waste prevention is the most effective way to reduce waste. The less you use of it, the less you throw away. The mathematics is not difficult. Difficulty arises when human activities have surpassed all of nature’s laws. Unwillingly changed forever we have not respected, valued and cared enough for traditional practices and our environment. While there are many perceptions and misconceptions about waste, the essence and sense of purpose must be clearly identified. To achieve this understanding, Plan G uses a very hands on approach, the waste audit. In order to develop a better action plan, a detailed waste audit must be conducted which will reveal existing practices, waste generators and better alternative solutions.
